I didn't agree entirely with the response. I think much of it was a very confusing opinion on what "Justice" is. If humans have the ability to Love another so much, they would not want them to suffer day and night forever, would that mean our love is greater than God's? That would be blasphemous to think so. Which is why I question Hell being eternal. What is Justice, and what is Mercy? I know we are not perfect in either, but it is something to think about.

The reason the filioque wasn’t/isn’t an issue with the majority of lay Christian’s is because they actually don’t fully understand the Holy Trinity and the uniqueness of each Person of the trinity and how the filioque alters that uniqueness and overall balance of the God head. As such people just respond with a “meh”, which is such a lazy way to address an issue, personally I think the filioque wrong (irrespective if I’m orthodox or not) but that’s because I have made an effort to understand our triune God. Most people just trust church hierarchy to worry about such issue and then just follow the crowd but I think they should be made to understand the trinity and uniqueness of the Persons how the filioque interferes with everything.

God is not the author of sin. Some of the confusion is from conflating pre-fall and after fall humanity. Adam and Eve were created upright with the ability to truly choose good or evil, we lost that ability after the fall and are a slave to sin in our fallen nature outside of being regenerated by God. God has a divine decree, He is completely sovereign. He didn’t force Adam to sin, Adam freely chose it. But that doesn’t mean God didn’t ordain it. The problem is this humanistic view of free will. It’s a fiction. There is no such thing as libertarian free will, not since the fall. Primary and secondary causes are a real thing. It’s not easy to make sense of the state of Adam and the original fall, or how humanity freely chooses the things God has ordained to come to pass, but we know that it happened, God ordains all things and that He isn’t the author of evil, but He sovereignly uses it to accomplish his purposes.

But because God is eternal, all-powerful, and not limited by any natural laws, He is indifferent about us as He, in a way, is those natural laws He created which are as well indifferent about us. So "Good" and "evil" are not absolute concepts decreed by God. Instead, they are relative terms that humans use to describe what is beneficial or harmful to them. That does not mean that it doesn't matter if we do evil or good, because it clearly does, as our actions as free men and women have an effect on our lives and the society we live in. It just means that God Himself is indifferent about human decisions, actions and their suffering. This perspective extends to other religious concepts as well. Heaven and hell can be seen rather symbolically and not as literal locations. 'Heaven' might represent a state of intellectual and emotional fulfillment, achieved through understanding the nature of reality, while 'Hell' could symbolize a state of confusion, ignorance, or bondage to passions and inadequate ideas, that leads to suffering in oneself or others. Furthermore, if we consider God as the totality of natural laws, then God's 'plan' was already fulfilled at the moment of creation. The universe, including humanity with their free will, simply unfolds according to these established natural laws. Our existence and experiences are the result of complex interactions within this system, rather than the product of continual divine intervention or planning.
